  2. The Best April Fools’ Prank (That I Shall Ever Do)

Once upon a time, I decided that it was my solemn obligation to prank my friends before we graduated.

So…I made Hogwarts Acceptance letters. A lot of them. Because who isn’t still waiting for their freaking letter to arrive?

My hand hated me so much. Also, cursive G is the worst.

Letters were posted. All was well.

    Until this happened…

    What the-?

This is literally the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

  7. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also
    Matt 5:39

This specifically refers to a hand striking the side of a person’s face, tells quite a different story when placed in it’s proper historical context. In Jesus’s time, striking someone of a lower class ( a servant) with the back of the hand was used to assert authority and dominance. If the persecuted person “turned the other cheek,” the discipliner was faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed. Another alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, by turning the other cheek the persecuted was in effect putting an end to the behavior or if the slapping continued the person would lawfully be deemed equal and have to be released as a servant/slave.

THAT makes a lot more sense, now, thank you.

    (via the-world-is-a-corner)

So Jesus is advocating a nonviolent psychological warfare tactic exploiting social norms re: dominance & perceived superiority.

I like Jesus an awful lot.

  8. Anonymous said: Do INFPs have a tendency to sometimes be unsure about where they stand with people?

    infpconnection:

Short, sweet and to the point:

    I personally have this issue.

Not sure about other INFPs…But I can’t seem to ever pin down or feel one way about most people I am around. I am consistently analyzing their output of emotions and facts and questioning them, if they are telling the truth, if they even mean everything they say…everything… Socializing is very stressful and exhausting for me sometimes.
